Dear Sandy,
Well your motto was "08 and out the Gate"
You could change your mind - it's not too late!
You have taught thirty plus years-
Through many joys and tears.
From elementary to middle school-
In your class you did rule.
Hundreds of students passed through your doors
You welcomed them with smiles and more.
You attended teacher and parent meetings-
Always with a smile and greeting.
You graded papers night after night-
So those kiddos could see the light.
You even took homework to Asilomar
making encouraging comments from afar.
All of your hard work
was rewarded with many a perk.
Teacher of the Year-
that one was very clear!
You even devoted summers to honing your craft
You always countered with a pun and a laugh.
You are loved by students and peers
You can look back with pride upon those years.
So as you close the door on that last day-
Stand up and shout "HOORAY!"
Love,
Carolyn
Hi Sandy,
I just want to wish you a very happy and relaxing retirement. No more getting up early or staying up
late grading papers. Now you will be able to get up early and stay up
for more from Marian
With love to Sandy
You've seen horrid papers galore,
Correcting until you were sore
From teaching all day.
Now it's your turn to play,
And that's what retirement's for.
for more from Bev
