I have known Sandy since 1981. She is quite a lady. There isn’t anything she cannot do if she puts her mind to it. You name it and she excels at it! She is always coming up with new and interesting ideas.

Sandy is a wonderful person---wife, mother, teacher, cook, interior decorator, care giver and more. Sandy is thoughtful, considerate and generous to those who know her. She always goes out of her way to help when ever she can.

When she and Russ travel, Sandy always takes time to drop a line. Often when she writes she does it with clever poetry. As a punster she cannot be beaten.

I am amazed at how she can make all the arrangements, then transport her class of students from Los Gatos to Sacramento to visit the State Capitol, Sutter’s Fort and return home all in one day! Makes me tired just to think about it.

I am sure I have just scratched the surface while trying to say what I think of Sandy. She is a WINNER. The schools will have a tough time replacing her.

Happy Retirement,
Bette Benedetti

My son Michael did not have the good fortune of being in one of your English class at Fisher Middle School. I wish that he had. Knowing you personally and hearing of your wonderful reputation there at Fisher from Mike and his friends ("she makes you write a lot" and "she's tough") is exactly what made you the wonderful teacher that you are. It's not easy to teach young people to write and I commend you for building that skill in them. You are patient and pull the best from them. How will students even know what they are capable of unless you bring it out in them? You did. When they said "she's tough" in kid language that really means "she cares".

So, even though Michael did not have the benefit of your teaching, many others did. I bow to you, Sandy. You made a difference in many young people's lives. Now go relax and watch the birdies!!! You've earned it.

P.S. Have you thought of publishing those puns?!
